Prayer times in Brisbane

Local timetable guidance

Kuraby Masjid, also named Masjid al Farooq, describes its purpose as providing space for prayer, reflection, social engagement, Islamic education and guidance. Its own history traces the congregation to the early 1990s, when local Muslims bought a former Anglican church and adapted it for worship. The institution says the present mosque was reconstructed on the same site after an arson attack on 21 September 2001. Its published address is 1408 Beenleigh Road, Kuraby, placing this institutional example in the Brisbane suburban area rather than at the city reference point. The page also emphasises interfaith dialogue, moderation and inclusion across cultures. Historical reconstruction details are not used to infer present opening hours or congregation times. GeoNames supplies Brisbane's city coordinates and the IANA time zone Australia/Brisbane; this geographic reference is not the institution's surveyed location.

Common questions

Are these the mosque's official times?

No. These are calculations from city-centre coordinates. Mosque timetables may use different angles, adjustments and congregation times. Follow your local mosque.

Why can Asr times differ?

The Hanafi and majority shadow-length conventions give different Asr calculations. Choose the convention used by your local community; this tool does not give a ruling.

Are Ramadan dates confirmed?

No. The Umm al-Qura calendar supplies an estimated start for planning. Local moon sighting and official announcements determine the observed dates.

Is my location or timetable choice stored?

No. This tool uses a selected public city, not your private location. Selections remain on this page and are not saved to a member account.
