Prayer times in Melbourne

Local timetable guidance

The Islamic Society of Victoria's official site identifies Preston Mosque and describes a canopy infrastructure project concerned with safety, accessibility and comfort. Its service listings extend beyond worship to a health clinic, refugee and migrant support, funerals, women's services, language education and interfaith dialogue. The health-clinic description mentions general practitioners, counselling, psychology and speech therapy. These are published institutional categories, not an assurance of clinical appointments or eligibility. The Preston location is part of the Melbourne context; the coordinate fields in this record intentionally describe the city rather than the mosque entrance. GeoNames records Melbourne under AU with the IANA time zone Australia/Melbourne. Its published populated-place coordinates are the geographic reference for this entry, not a surveyed mosque location.

Common questions

Are these the mosque's official times?

No. These are calculations from city-centre coordinates. Mosque timetables may use different angles, adjustments and congregation times. Follow your local mosque.

Why can Asr times differ?

The Hanafi and majority shadow-length conventions give different Asr calculations. Choose the convention used by your local community; this tool does not give a ruling.

Are Ramadan dates confirmed?

No. The Umm al-Qura calendar supplies an estimated start for planning. Local moon sighting and official announcements determine the observed dates.

Is my location or timetable choice stored?

No. This tool uses a selected public city, not your private location. Selections remain on this page and are not saved to a member account.
